Jason Kelce announces plan to retire.

Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles are coping with some sad news as Jason Kelce announced his much-anticipated retirement decision.

Monday morning, the Eagles center stated on social media, “I have come to a decision and will address it at a press conference this afternoon.”

During the news conference, Kelce made it official. Wearing a cut-off Eagles T-shirt, the Ohio native cried as he announced his retirement after 13 seasons in the NFL.

“I love football,” he added, regardless of whether it was in the backyard with his brother or on Friday evenings at high school. He then thanked his high school and college coaches and mentors, as well as the University of Cincinnati, the Eagles, and the fans.
