Winter vacation ends today: Delhi schools will reopen tomorrow

The national capital, Delhi, is experiencing an extreme cold wave. While the Delhi government had extended the winter holiday till January 12, schools were scheduled to open on January 15, which is tomorrow. The authorities expected the cold wave to pass and schools to reopen when the weather improved.

The Directorate of Education has issued an order reopening schools for all courses, including kindergarten, nursery, and primary, beginning Monday. However, due to the foggy weather in the capital, all schools must start after 9 a.m. and stop by 5 p.m.

“It is instructed that all students of Government, Government Aided, and Recognized Private institutions resume physical classes at their respective institutions beginning Monday, January 15, 2024. This covers nursery, kindergarten, and primary courses,” claimed the Delhi government’s Directorate of Education in its decision.
