Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated India’s longest sea bridge, Atal Setu.
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, which spans 21.8 kilometers from Sewri in Mumbai to Nhava Sheva in Raigad district.
The trans-harbour connection, also known as the Atal Setu, is India’s longest sea bridge and would cut travel time from an hour and a half to roughly 20 minutes.
The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu costs around ₹17,840 crore. It is India’s longest bridge, as well as its longest sea bridge.
The Mumbai Police have set a maximum speed limit of 100 km\h for four-wheelers crossing the bridge. Motorcycles, auto rickshaws, and tractors will not be permitted to operate on it.
