On the occasion of Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday, the makers of Prashanth Neel’s highly-anticipated Prabhas-starrer Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire unveiled his first look poster.
With just over two months remaining for the grand release of Prashanth Neel’s highly-anticipated Prabhas-starrer Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire, production company Hombale Films is leaving no stone unturned in keeping the spirits of fans high, particularly following the postponement of its release date.
On the occasion of Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday on Monday, the makers unveiled his first look poster, which rapidly went viral on social media.
Prithviraj’s never-seen-before avatar exudes swagger and fearlessness. Clad in a coal-dust-stained T-shirt and shawl, the poster captures Prithviraj walking confidently towards the camera, while a group of spectators observes from the background. With a septum nose ring, a bold black tilak on his forehead and a rudraksh necklace, the poster portrays Prithviraj’s character Vardharaja Mannar as the formidable king of the region.
“Wishing Prithviraj Sukumaran a magnificent birthday,” Hombale Films noted while sharing the first look poster. “Thank you Hombale Films, Prashanth Neel, Prabhas and the entire team of Salaar! Cannot wait for the world to see this epic! ❤️,” Prithviraj noted while sharing the poster on social media.
According to reports, the character Vardharaja Mannar has several shades of grey. During a press conference in Kochi last year, Prithviraj, however, remarked, “If I tell you that now it would take away all the fun. But, it’s not like Prabhas is the hero and I am the villain.”
Though it was earlier announced that the film would be released on September 28, Hombale Films announced that the movie won’t hit the screens on the said date. In a statement, it noted that the delay in the release was only because they wanted to “meet the high standards” and deliver an “exceptional cinematic experience”.
Apart from Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Salaar also features Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Tinnu Anand in key roles.
