Govinda has addressed the controversy surrounding his tweet on the communal violence in Gurugram, clarifying that his Twitter account (also known as X) was hacked. In response to the attention garnered by the tweet, the actor took to Instagram to refute the claims and asserted that he has never commented on such issues.

Through a video shared on his official Instagram account, Govinda stated that he did not post the tweet related to Haryana and emphasized that his Twitter account has been deactivated due to the hacking incident. He denied any involvement in the controversial tweet and speculated that the timing of the hack might be linked to the upcoming elections, implying possible political motives.

Addressing his friends and fans from Haryana, Govinda reaffirmed that his Twitter account had been compromised, and he hadn’t actively used Twitter for a long time. He mentioned that his team confirmed they had not posted anything without his knowledge, and he requested the cybercell to investigate the matter.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Govinda further emphasized that he quit politics 18 years ago and has no intention of returning to it. He expressed concern about the spread of fake news and the potential consequences of people making assumptions about him. The actor urged others to refrain from involving him in their political agendas and clarified that he has endured enough challenges, including facing difficulties in securing theatres for his films.
