An enchanting new dance number from “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” has been released, this time set in a Durga Puja ambiance, embracing traditional vibes. Titled “Dhindhora Baje Re,” the song features Alia Bhatt clad in a vibrant red saree and Ranveer Singh donning a red anarkali and churidar, gracefully dancing before a Durga Puja idol. As they pour their hearts into the dance, they attract curious gazes from their respective family members. While Rani’s family eventually joins in the festive spirit, Jaya Bachchan, who portrays Rocky’s grandmother, storms off in anger.
The song showcases Alia and Ranveer twinning in their elegant red outfits, exuding enthusiasm through their lively dance moves. Set within the vibrant backdrop of a Durga Puja celebration, the song features numerous background dancers also adorned in red attire. “Dhindhora Baje Re” is sung by Darshan Raval and Bhoomi Trivedi, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Recently, Ranveer and Alia unveiled the party number “What Jhumka” at Bareilly’s iconic Jhumka Chowk. Additionally, two romantic songs, “Tum Kya Mile” and “Ve Kamleya,” have also been released.
According to a PTI report, composer Pritam revealed that Karan Johar desired a nostalgic 90s romance feel, resulting in a plethora of songs in LP format. The songs have two ‘antara’ (paragraphs) and last for around five to six minutes each. The movie is replete with nostalgia and emotions, with characters singing old songs in the background, creating a soundscape that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
