Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor react to Top Gun: Maverick; Speechless. What a film!
Added to the list of Top Gun: Maverick fans are Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. The film starring Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller and more is the sequel to the iconic 1986 film Top Gun. It is perhaps one of the biggest summer releases so far. Hrithik and Anil caught the film at a recent screening and they’ve now shared their reactions.
Top Gun: Maverick arrived in cinemas on May 27 and has been having a great run at box offices since then. Opening up about his experience watching the film, Hrithik Roshan said, “It was such an adrenaline rush. After more than three decades and so much waiting the movie surpasses all expectations. The nostalgia factor is obviously there but the evolution of the character and the story is what was the highlight for me. The aerial fight sequences were beyond anything I have experienced, they blew my mind.”
Anil Kapoor found himself at a loss for words as he said, “Speechless. What a film! What action. And Tom Cruise is incomparable. Super fun experience and one should watch it in IMAX for the complete package. For people who have seen the first one, it’s a definite watch but for the next generation, it’s even more important! To see how cool the legacy is and continues to be.”
Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor reportedly watched the film with Siddharth Anand who is set to direct their upcoming film Fighter. The film also casts Deepika Padukone.
Meanwhile, Top Gun: Maverick has received rave reviews across the board with fans calling it a perfect sequel. The film’s synopsis reads – After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. Training a detachment of graduates for a special assignment, Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who choose to fly it.
