Neetu Kapoor says Ranbir Kapoor still has dad Rishi Kapoor’s pic as a screensaver
Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020 after a two-year-long battle with cancer. The devastating news came as a shock to the entertainment industry and fans alike. As many are still mourning the loss, the late actor’s wife opened up about how much her son Ranbir Kapoor misses his dad.
It has been two years since the death of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor is now sharing heartbreaking details about how the family has been coping with the loss. In an interview with a leading publication, Neetu said that they remember him every day. “The initial six to seven months were really bad for all of us. We all cried a lot. But life has to go on. I can’t be crying and sitting at home. We have all moved on but we still remember him every day,” she said.
She further added that Ranbir Kapoor misses his father a lot and still has his photo as his phone’s screensaver. “There are days when I see tears in his eyes but he stays strong,” she revealed.
Neetu Kapoor also shared a post about grief on the second anniversary of Rishi Kapoor’s passing. She wrote, “Today is two years since Rishi Ji left us … losing a partner of 45 years was difficult and painful. At that time the only way to heal my heart was to keep myself mentally occupied .. Movies and television helped me achieve that. Rishiji will always be remembered and will stay in everyone’s heart forever.”
Rishi Kapoor’s final film Sharmaji Namkeen was released on a streaming platform this year in March. The film was a swan song worthy of the star and his filmography. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to appear in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt.
