Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have finally chosen a name for their daughter

The lovely couple welcomed their baby girl earlier this year and according to reports she was born on January 15.

As per the latest reports, the little girl has been named – Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, a name which comes with a beautiful meaning.

Ever since Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas took to social media to announce the arrival of their daughter through surrogacy, people have been waiting to get a glimpse of her. While Priyanka and Nick both had requested privacy with their announcement posts, that did not stop fans from being curious about what her name is or how she looks.

The lovely couple welcomed their baby girl earlier this year and according to reports she was born on January 15.

As per the latest reports, the little girl has been named – Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, a name which comes with a beautiful meaning.

Malti which has its origin in the Sanskrit language signifies moonlight or a very fragrant flower. Marie is derived from Latin Stella Mais which is defined as the star of the sea. The name Marie also has a biblical counterpart in French origin – Mary is the mother of Lord Jesus.

Recently while speaking to Lilly Singh, Priyanka was quoted as she spoke on motherhood,  “As a new parent right now, I keep thinking that I will never be imposing my desires, fears, my upbringing on to my child. I have always believed that children come through you, not from you. There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognizing that helped me, my parents were very non-judgemental in a certain way.”

On the work front, Priyanka has her hands full with Citadel, It’s All Coming Back To Me, and her next Bollywood project Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
