Twinkle Khanna announces that her fundraiser has met its goal of INR 1 crore

Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar have been actively helping out hospitals and NGOs with oxygen concentrators since the second wave of the pandemic hit the country. Even last year, Akshay Kumar had donated INR 25 crores to the PM CARES fund to help in COVID relief in India. 

The couple also initiated a fundraiser to help hospitals procure more oxygen concentrators and Twinkle had also applauded the people for donating big amounts of money to help people. She posted on social media, “What I am seeing on our donation page is surprising-single donors-encouraged by our personal donations-giving 5,10,20 lakhs at a time. If our platforms inspire folks who can spare large sums and it goes to those in need it-isn’t that what matters? #KeepAtIt.”

Now, the fundraiser has met its target of INR 1 crore and Twinkle announced this news with a picture of herself and the note that read “It’s thanks to all of you that we raised these funds and are able to send concentrators where they are needed. I will keep posting updates. A big shout out to all of you and @annada_outreach for their tremendous support. #helpindiabreathe.”
