After Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, Dinesh Vijan to create universe of ghosts

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has already announced that he is creating a cop universe and we saw the first glimpse of it in Simmba. Now in his next, we will be seeing Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi coming together to fight against terrorism. The filmmaker was fascinated with the way Hollywood creates superhero flicks and how all of them come together as a team. And now looks like another filmmaker is going to follow suit by creating his own universe.

Producer Dinesh Vijan has decided to create a different universe… a universe of ghosts. Where Stree (Shraddha Kapoor), Roohi (Janhvi Kapoor) and Munjha (casting is in process) will meet. In a chat with Filmfare, Dinesh Vijan revealed, “When we started, we were writing three scripts, Roohi, Munjha, Stree. Now we are going on floors with Munjha.”

Dinesh Vijan, who’s known to back quirky films, further explained his universe by adding, “So the idea is this, There is Stree, Roohi and Munjha and then there is one more. In these two, they will start meeting towards the end. and in second they will cross paths. Then maybe you will see them and eventually they all will come together, thats the idea. That was the inception, because I met a guy who is a producer for Nolan’s film.”

Dinesh Vijan’s last production, Angrezi Medium won great reviews but dealt with an unfortunate setback due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Irrfan’s act and Radhika Madan’s portrayal of a daughter manage to win the hearts of critics.
