Shooting of Mardaani 2 goes on floors with Rani Mukherjee

Rani Mukherjee is now set to shoot for the sequel of Mardaani 2. She had delivered an outstanding performance in Mardaani in 2016. In the film’s sequel, Rani Mukherjee will play the role of a Police Superintendent who is locked up in a battle with a 21 year old merciless victim.

In the first part, she was a Senior Inspector named Shivani Shivaji Roy who was fighting against drugs and child trafficking.

Mardaani was produced by Aditya Chopra and also starred Saanand Verma and Jisshu Sengupta. The sequel will be helmed by debut actor Gopi Puthran who was also the writer of the first Mardaani film.
