Rajnikanth starts shooting for his upcoming movie Jailer

Rajnikanth will once again be returning to the silver screen with his upcoming film Jailer. The megastar started shooting for the movie today. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer aka Thalaivar 169 also stars Ramya Krishnan. The makers of the movie have released the first look of the movie which shows the actor sporting an intense look.

Other than Rajnikanth and Ramya Krishnan, sandalwood star Shiva Rajkumar will also be seen essaying a pivotal role in the movie. He is reported to be the antagonist in the movie. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also reported to play one of the leading ladies in the movie. The entire cast and crew are yet to be announced.

A major part of the movie is reported to be shot in a film city in Hyderabad. The movie is backed by Sun Pictures and goes on floors from today. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres in mid-2023.
